Jeffrey L. Kingsley, a partner in Goldberg Segalla’s Global Insurance Services Practice Group, authored commentary for the October 2011 issue of Reinsurance magazine highlighting some of the fundamental changes that occurred in the reinsurance industry following the September 11 attacks.

“Though 9/11 did not produce the largest losses in recent memory from an insurance standpoint,” Jeff wrote in the article, “it exposed the lingering issues in the treaty language and underwriting practices of the day that contributed to certain large risks being undercapitalised.”
