Joseph M. Hanna, Goldberg Segalla’s hiring partner and a member of the firm’s Management Committee, has been named to Buffalo Business First’s 2026 Power 100 Business Leaders of Color, marking his fifth consecutive appearance on the list. Joe has been recognized every year since the initiative’s inception in 2022.
The annual ranking celebrates influential business and nonprofit professionals who are shaping organizations and communities across Western New York. Honorees are selected based on factors including organizational influence, tenure, community engagement, and professional achievement, while also highlighting individuals who foster creativity and inclusion, serve as role models, and champion the value of diverse perspectives.
As chair of Goldberg Segalla’s Retail and Hospitality and Sports and Entertainment Law practice groups, Joe also founded and leads the firm’s Diversity Task Force. His commitment to service and advocacy extends well beyond the legal profession. In recognition of his efforts, he received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest civil volunteerism honor presented by the President of the United States, for his work with Bunkers in Baghdad. Founded by Joe, the nonprofit has provided more than 16.7 million golf balls and 1.7 million golf clubs to U.S. troops and veterans around the world.
