A Look at Goldberg Segalla’s Hartford Office

Robert J. Chomiak Jr. and Michael D. Schweitzer, partners in Goldberg Segalla’s Hartford office, spoke with Law360 Pulse about the firm’s recent hires in Connecticut and how its practice groups have been busy throughout the pandemic.

In the article, Rob shared that Goldberg Segalla’s growth is motivated by client demand for workers’ compensation, general liability, commercial litigation, and toxic torts matters. In the past month, Goldberg Segalla added Jennifer L. Booker and Jennifer L. Pieri to the firm’s General Liability team in Hartford.

“We’ve never grown for the sake of just growing offices, to have an office in Connecticut or New England or whatever—it’s always been based on our clients’ needs,” Rob said in the interview with Law360 Pulse. “There’s definitely a need in New England, specifically Connecticut. Obviously, Hartford, at one point being the insurance capital of the world, was part of the draw, but our clients have a need here, and that’s why Hartford’s important to our footprint.”

Throughout the past year, Michael shared that the office’s Workers’ Compensation group grew with the additions of Kristin K. Mullins, Kirsten E. Cunningham, and Alessandra P. Carullo.

“Our national workers’ compensation practice has many national clients that are looking for Goldberg Segalla to service their needs in multiple states, so they can go to one firm instead of having many firms across the country, in each individual state or location within those states,” Michael said.
