In an interview with Reuters, Goldberg Segalla’s Albert J. D’Aquino discusses the potential response by Prince Andrew after the London High Court’s decision to intervene in a sexual assault lawsuit brought by Virginia Guiffre in federal district court in Manhattan.

In the story, Al, co-chair of the firm’s Civil Litigation and Trial practice, talks about whether or not Prince Andrew will participate in the lawsuit and the hypothetical consequences of being questioned by opposing council.

“I doubt that Prince Andrew wants to be put in the position of having to be questioned under oath by the plaintiff’s lawyers about the allegations in this lawsuit,” Al said. “He runs the risk of giving answers that incriminate him in possible criminal action and also runs the risk of a perjury prosecution if he gives answers that are found later to be untruthful while given under oath.”
