Ashlyn Capote Featured in “Building a Network is Key as Attorneys Begin Careers,” Buffalo Business First
Ashlyn M. Capote, a member of the firm’s Global Insurance Services practice group, was featured in an article for Buffalo Business First explaining why building professional connections early on is beneficial to a lasting legal career.
In “Building a Network is Key as Attorneys Begin Careers,” Ashlyn discusses her connections and networking experiences since moving to Buffalo from Detroit six years ago and how to overcome inhibitions. Ashlyn elaborates on her involvement in the Erie County Bar Association early on in her career, and how it led to her role as co-chair of its Young Lawyers Committee.
“I didn’t feel out of place,” Ashlyn said. “I think what some young lawyers don’t realize is a lot of people who are new to the profession feel the exact same way. As long as you are willing to put in a little bit of an effort, I think people will find it really starts to pay off.”
