Bunkers in Baghdad Named a 2014 Top-Rated Nonprofit

November 14, 2014

Bunkers in Baghdad has been recognized as one of the Top-Rated 2014 Nonprofit organizations in the country by GreatNonprofits, a leading provider of user reviews about nonprofits.

Bunkers collects and ships new and used golf equipment for recreational purposes to our brave troops in 30 countries around the world and to wounded warriors throughout the United States and Europe to aid in their rehabilitation. Since its founding in 2008, Bunkers has shipped more than 5 million golf balls and more than 250,000 golf clubs to soldiers.

“It’s a terrific honor to receive such great feedback and be in the company of other wonderful organizations,” said Joseph M. Hanna, Bunkers in Baghdad founder and a partner at the law firm Goldberg Segalla. “But it’s our donors, volunteers, and soldiers who are really at the core of our success.”

The honor was featured on the Buffalo Rising blog.

GreatNonprofits.org provides user reviews to inform donors and volunteers of each nonprofit organization’s credibility. The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews Bunkers received written by volunteers, donors, and clients.
