Goldberg Segalla is pleased to announce partner Caroline J. Berdzik has been elected a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, an exclusive, invitation-only international organization of civil defense attorneys in private practice, in-house counsel, risk managers, and insurance claims professionals.
Caroline, who is Chair of the firm’s Employment and Labor and Health Care Practice Groups, is the eighth Goldberg Segalla attorney to be made a member of the FDCC, which dedicates itself to the principles of knowledge, justice, and fellowship. She joins partners Neil A. Goldberg, Thomas F. Segalla, Michael D. Shalhoub, David S. Osterman, Paul L. Knobbe, and Michael T. Glascott. Caroline joins a select group of 1,400 defense attorneys from the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Europe.
Caroline devotes her practice to helping corporate clients navigate the panoply of employment law issues, from proactive counseling through dispute resolution and trial. She also has extensive experience in the long-term-care industry, where she defends skilled nursing facilities and related entities in professional liability claims and provides tailored risk management solutions to help mitigate or avoid exposure. Caroline’s dynamic background includes working as in-house counsel to one of the nation’s largest privately held long-term-care companies, where she managed a diverse litigation portfolio in a range of areas, including professional and general liability, employment, and commercial law.
