Buffalo Business First has named Goldberg Segalla partner and Chief Operating Officer Christopher J. Belter to its Power 250 list which, according to the publication, compiles the most influential individuals in Western New York.

Chris joined Goldberg Segalla as an associate in 2001, just six months after the firm was founded. An accomplished trial lawyer, Chris was instrumental in building the firm’s construction and commercial litigation practices. Chris has represented a wide range of clients including major manufacturers and contractors, international companies, and other businesses in courts and arbitration forums across the country over the course of his 30-year career. In June 2020, he became chief operating officer at Goldberg Segalla.

As the firm’s chief operating officer, Chris is responsible for firm operations for all 22 offices and oversight of all administrative departments including Accounting, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Library, Marketing & Business Development, Records, Revenue, and Risk & Compliance. He is also a member of the firm’s management committee which is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the firm’s client service, culture, resources, and strategic growth.

Co-chair of the firm’s Business and Commercial Litigation and Construction practice groups, Chris has been consistently recognized for excellence in Commercial Litigation by Chambers USA, and in Commercial, Construction and Intellectual Property Litigation by Best Lawyers in America.
