David S. Osterman, a senior partner in Goldberg Segalla’s Princeton office, has been appointed Vice Chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers’ New Jersey State Committee.

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. The invite-only, 5,700-member College is dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice, and the ethics of the profession. Through its state committees, the College engages in a wide variety of activities to further those purposes.

Dave has significant trial experience; he is certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court and has tried more than 45 cases to verdict in five different states and the District of Columbia. He handles complex civil litigation for manufacturers, retailers, and distributors of a wide variety of products, including pharmaceutical and medical device products, consumer products, and food products.

In addition to his litigation experience and his role with the College, Dave demonstrates leadership in various organizations. He serves on the Defense Research Institute’s Products Liability Subcommittee and Trial Practice Subcommittee, and as Publications Chair of DRI’s Commercial Litigation Committee Class Actions Special Litigation Group. He is a member of the Product Liability Advisory Council, the International Association of Defense Counsel, and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. Dave is rated AV Preeminent and has been selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers.
