Two attorneys from the law firm Goldberg Segalla were appointed to prestigious leadership positions within the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the country’s leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel. Michael J. Leegan, special counsel in Goldberg Segalla’s Princeton office, was appointed Atlantic Region Director. Joseph M. Hanna, a partner in the Buffalo office, was named 2013 National Marketing Chair for the DRI Annual Meeting. 

Mr. Leegan is a civil trial litigator who concentrates in the defense of insureds, insurance carriers, self-insureds, and individuals in all aspects of civil law, including matters involving premises liability, automobile accidents, products liability, general negligence, insurance coverage, and bad faith litigation in the state and district courts of New Jersey. He has been a member of DRI since 2000 and has served as a State Representative for New Jersey.

Mr. Hanna concentrates his practice in commercial litigation with a focus on sports and entertainment law, construction litigation, and intellectual property law. He is the Chair of Goldberg Segalla’s Diversity Task Force. He served as Marketing Vice-Chair for DRI’s 2012 Annual Meeting and holds numerous diversity-focused chair or liaison positions at the organization.
