Goldberg Segalla added Alexis D. Johnson to the firm’s Transportation group in Albany.
Alexis counsels and defends clients in a variety of civil litigation claims with a focus on businesses in the transportation and logistics industries. She draws on experience gained as an attorney fellow in the Litigation Bureau of the Office of the New York State Attorney General, where she drafted motions, discovery responses and other pleadings, and assisted in preparing for and conducting depositions on a variety of complex substantive and procedural matters. In addition, prior to starting her legal career, Alexis worked for six years as an executive account manager in multiple roles within two Fortune 500 companies, where she attained knowledge and expertise within the fields of trucking and logistics.
While attending the Emory University School of Law, Alexis researched and drafted memoranda, pre-trial motions, discovery requests, contracts and arbitration clauses while serving as a summer associate and, later, as a law clerk. She gained additional experience as a judicial intern for the Hon. Jill Pryor at the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and a judicial extern in the Georgia Court of Appeals, assisting the Hon. M. Yvette Miller by conducting research, analyzing legal authority, and assisting in drafting orders.
Alexis earned a B.A. from Columbus State University, an M.A. from Spring Arbor University, and her J.D. from the Emory University School of Law.
