Goldberg Segalla LLP is pleased to announce Caroline J. Berdzik has joined the law firm as a partner in its Princeton office. She is a member of Goldberg Segalla’s Labor and Employment, Professional Liability, and Nursing Home Defense Practice Groups.

Ms. Berdzik focuses her practice on representing corporate clients in the health care, media, automotive, and other industries in employment law issues, from counseling through trial. She routinely provides strategic business advice to employers on human resource issues that arise out of the employment relationship from hiring to termination, with an emphasis on preventing future disputes. Ms. Berdzik also provides outsourced general counsel services for businesses in the health care industry.

Prior to joining Goldberg Segalla, Ms. Berdzik was the assistant general counsel for Care One, New Jersey’s largest privately held long term care company, where she successfully managed a diverse portfolio of litigation cases in the areas of professional and general liability, employment, and commercial law for long term care facilities and related hospice, home health, and pharmacy businesses. She implemented innovative programs that helped reduce risk and control legal spend.

Ms. Berdzik is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Drew University in 1996 and her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Camden in 1999.
