Goldberg Segalla Welcomes Andrea M. Sciarratta
Goldberg Segalla added two associates to the firm’s Toxic Tort and General Liability groups in St. Louis: Catherine L. Schwarze and Andrea M. Sciarratta.
Kate represents premises owners, retail and hospitality companies, product manufacturers and distributors, and others in a variety of general liability, premises liability, toxic tort, and other litigated matters. She received her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago and her LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution and juris doctor from the Washington University School of Law. In law school, she gained experience as a law clerk with the Office of the General Counsel of Veteran Affairs, as a student attorney with the Washington University Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Clinic, and as a legal intern with the St. Louis Zoo. She also served as the executive notes editor for the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy. Outside of her practice, Kate is involved in numerous organizations, including the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Women’s Law Association of Greater St. Louis, St. Louis Zoo Young Professionals, and Muny Young Friends.
Andrea focuses her practice on defending premises owners, manufacturers, transportation companies, and other businesses in a variety of toxic tort and general liability matters. She draws on a broad litigation background spanning asbestos exposure and other toxic torts, premises liability, professional liability, transportation law, and other insurance defense matters. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and her juris doctor from the Washington University School of Law, where she was the associate managing editor for the Washington University Jurisprudence Review. In law school, Andrea gained experience as an intern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri and as a Rule 13 attorney with the Missouri State Public Defender.
