Goldberg Segalla added Destinee D. Hekmatpour to the firm’s Global Insurance Services practice group in Chicago.

Destinee devotes her practice to counseling and defending insurers in coverage litigation related to a variety of policies. She is personally acquainted with the needs of clients in the insurance industry through her extensive training as an associate claim counsel for two internationally recognized insurance carriers prior to joining Goldberg Segalla. Destinee regularly counseled underwriters, insureds, attorneys, agents and brokers through claim investigations and complex coverage issues. In addition, she has in-depth experience analyzing Directors & Officers liability, employment practice liability, and crime and cyber-insurance matters.

During law school, Destinee served as a member and student coach for the University of Illinois College of Law trial team and as the executive administrative editor for the Illinois Business Law Journal. She also dedicated more than 300 pro-bono hours as a student attorney for the Family Advocacy Clinic, and worked as a law clerk for an insurance firm where she supported coverage and litigation attorneys.

Destinee earned her B.A. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.
