Goldberg Segalla added special counsel Jamie K. McAleavey to the firm’s General Liability Practice Group in Garden City.

Jamie possesses nearly a decade of experience defending clients in product liability, construction accident and defect, broker malpractice, oil spill, lead paint exposure, automotive, wrongful death, subrogation, and premises liability matters with multimillion-dollar exposures. He is also well-versed in contract interpretation, risk management, arbitration, and appellate practice. His insurance experience includes first- and third-party actions as well as coverage actions.

Jamie graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s in Political Science from Washington College. He went on to earn his J.D. at New York Law School, graduating cum laude, and was a Fellow for International Law and a Criminal Law Clinic Student with the Legal Aid Society. Through various internships Jamie gained experience in intelligence gathering and risk management for multinational corporations as well as in medical malpractice litigation. He also served as an intern in the King’s County District Attorney’s Office and as an extern with Justice Michael Ambrecht in the New York State Supreme Court, Criminal Term.
