Goldberg Segalla added Petra A. Holness to the firm’s Civil Litigation and Trial and Global Insurance Services practice groups in Buffalo.

Petra maintains a focus on civil litigation defense, including matters involving negligence, personal injury, product, and professional liability. She is engaged in all stages of the litigation process, including discovery and investigation, depositions and court appearances, drafting motions and pleadings, as well as dispute resolution, hearings and trials. Her practice also extends to complex insurance coverage disputes.

Petra gained valuable experience serving as a law clerk, where she drafted pleadings, motions and discovery requests. While in law school, she served as a legal intern in the Buffalo Region office of the Attorney General, conducting depositions, representing client interests in administrative hearings, and assisting in the prosecution of several serious misdemeanors and felonies. She was also a student attorney at Buffalo’s Civil Rights and Transparency Clinic, drafting memoranda on LLC transparency and working toward passage of the New York State LLC Transparency Act.

Petra earned her B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany and her J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law.
