Jonathan S. Ziss, a partner in Goldberg Segalla’s Professional Liability Practice Group, was interviewed by Law360 for an article examining how major firms are facing greater exposure to massive professional liability, as deals become ever more complex and the client-attorney relationship evolves.

Jonathan suggested that the engagement letter could be an important tool to help lawyers avoid professional liability claims.

“Attorneys too often are on autopilot as they go through the engagement letter,” Jonathan told Law360. “But the engagement letter is important from the professional risk standpoint, from small deals to big international transactions.”
