The profile, written by Katie Anderson, explores Joe’s professional and personal life. When asked what he would do if given a magic wand, Joe responded, “Litter the community with more lawyers. We have a shortage of lawyers, and there’s so much potential and opportunity. As the hiring partner, that would make my job easier in Western New York. Also, diversity in the legal profession is something I’ve always been passionate about and focused on. I’d want it to be more inclusive and bring more people into our community and focus on our community together.”

Joe touches on a variety of job-related questions throughout the article, such as his proudest career moment and his traits as a boss. He was also asked about some of the factors he considers when making hiring decisions.

“Cultural fit has to be No. 1.,” he said. “You could be the greatest lawyer ever with the most amount of business, but if you culturally don’t fit into the pod and the team you’ll be working with, it’s just not going to work out.”
