“Obviously, any time you deal with litigation, you are rolling the dice with a trial,” Joe told Law360. “They could have gone to trial, and who knows how it would have been decided. … The opportunity to settle a case and have what I believe to be a reasonably fair outcome for both parties is usually a win-win.”
