Goldberg Segalla hiring partner Joseph M. Hanna has been named to Buffalo Business First’s Power 100 Business Leaders of Color for the fourth consecutive year. Joe has earned a place on this exclusive list every year since its inception in 2022.

According to Buffalo Business First, “the men and women on this list have risen to the top as leaders of Western New York companies and organizations, as trusted board members, and as inspirational examples for the next generation.”

As chair of the Retail and Hospitality and Sports and Entertainment Law practice groups, Joe also founded and leads the firm’s Diversity Task Force. He has held numerous diversity-related roles within DRI and the American Bar Association (ABA) and was named a Northeast Trailblazer by The American Lawyer in 2022.

Joe’s commitment to service extends beyond the legal profession. He received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award – the highest civil volunteerism honor presented by the President of the United States – for his work with Bunkers in Baghdad, a nonprofit he founded that has shipped more than 16.7 million golf balls and 1.7 million clubs to U.S. troops and veterans around the world.

In 2020, Joe also earned Buffalo Business First’s IDEA Award, recognizing individuals who champion diversity and inclusion in the workplace and community.
