Joseph M. Hanna Quoted in “Goldberg Segalla Partner Calls for Help to Send Golf Equipment to Troops,” Insurance Day
The London-based international insurance publication Insurance Day recently featured the accomplishments of Goldberg Segalla partner Joseph M. Hanna, founder and President of Bunkers in Baghdad, in an article highlighting the organization’s need for donations of golf equipment to send to active troops and veterans as well as wounded warriors around the world.
“Since the launch of the charity in 2008,” the article notes, “more than 4.5 million golf balls and 100,000 golf clubs have made their way to Iraq, Afghanistan, and 22 other countries around the world and facilities in each of the 50 U.S. states. The equipment is also sent to injured veterans recovering in Wounded Warriors programmes, other military institutions, and veteran hospitals across the U.S. But it is not only U.S. soldiers who are benefiting, with British troops also enjoying the equipment, as well as other coalition and joint task forces, including those from Ireland and Australia.”
“We are constantly fundraising around the world, and Goldberg Segalla has supported us. Since we opened up our London office, we’ve discussed opening up a Bunkers in Baghdad office too and sending golf equipment to British troops,” Joe told Insurance Day.
