Peter J. Biging, a partner based in Manhattan and vice chair of Goldberg Segalla’s Management and Professional Liability practice, joined a small group claims professionals for an in-depth video Q&A session on the COVID-19 pandemic and its likely impact on legal professional liability and malpractice claims, presented by the Professional Liability Defense Federation (PLDF).

Peter J. Biging is an accomplished trial and appellate attorney with more than 30 years of experience as a litigator in the state and federal courts of New York. He counsels and defends directors and officers against claims alleging fraud, negligence, and breach of fiduciary duties, and a variety of professionals, including accounts, lawyers, and insurance agents and brokers, against claims based on alleged errors and omissions (E&O) in the performance of their professional services. He also regularly litigates labor and employment practices liability claims, commercial disputes, and municipal liability claims premised on alleged civil and constitutional violations.
Peter has also been a member of the PLDF Board of Directors since 2018, and is a former chair of the PLDF Insurance Agent/Broker Claims and D&O/Trustee E&O Claims Defense Committees. He is also the immediate past chair of the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) Professional Liability Insurance Committee (PLIC), and is an active member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), Defense Research Institute (DRI), and Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM).
