Peter J. Biging, a partner in Goldberg Segalla’s Professional Liability Practice Group, was interviewed by Risk & Insurance for an article highlighting the increase in litigation by insureds against their brokers and agents to court for failure to advise them about potential risks or coverage options.

“My sense is that, overall, there’s been a growing trend that agents and brokers are being held to a higher standard than they used to be, and this trend is not going to change,” said Peter, whose focus includes representing regional and large national brokerages in errors and omissions claims. “Previously, brokers were more protected. I think there was more insulation from these types of claims.”
