Peter J. Biging, a partner in Goldberg Segalla’s Professional Liability Practice Group, was interviewed in the June issue of Rough Notes for an article discussing the growing trend across the country of courts holding agents and brokers to stringent new standards regarding their duty to advise clients.

“If you promote yourself as an expert and promise ‘risk management services,’ you’d better go in with your eyes wide open,” Peter told Rough Notes. He says there is evidence that agent E&O cases across the country are focusing more closely on the issue of whether a special relationship existed between a client and a broker.

Peter focuses his practice on professional liability work, including the defense of insurance agents and brokers against errors and omissions claims.
