Robert M. Hanlon, Jr., a partner in the Product Liability Practice Group at law firm Goldberg Segalla LLP, was recently named a member of the National Trial College Committee of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a national organization dedicated to educating the American public about the history and value of the right to trial by jury; preserving the quality and independence of the judiciary; and elevating the standards of integrity, honor, ethics, civility, and courtesy in the legal profession.

As a member of the National Trial College Committee, Mr. Hanlon will contribute to the design of and preparation for ABOTA’s annual Trial College, a week-long program for young trial attorneys from both sides of the bar. Students will participate in four days of intensive classroom instruction, consisting of lectures, moot court exercises and critiques. On the fifth day, each student will participate in a full-day mock jury trial.

The next Trial College will be held at Harvard Law School from July 29 until August 4, 2012, and will feature faculty consisting of experienced trial attorneys from across the country.
