Seth L. Laver, a partner in Goldberg Segalla’s Management and Professional Liability and Employment and Labor practices, has been named chair of the Financial Services Liability Subcommittee for the ABA/TIPS Professional Liability Insurance Committee (PLIC).

The PLIC is dedicated to providing attorneys and industry professionals with learning initiatives, updates on the latest developments in the law, opportunities to speak and get published, and networking. As chair of its subcommittee, Seth will manage liability and insurance issues pertaining to accountants, financial and investment advisors, bankers, brokers, and other financial service professionals. He plans to oversee programming and publications and provide updates on developments in this space.

“The ABA provides a wealth of resources and opportunities for the professional liability community,” Seth says. “I am looking forward to taking a more active role in the committee, and I am excited to focus on a primary component of my practice: accountants and other financial service professionals. I am eager to provide writing and speaking opportunities for my colleagues, clients, and others in the community who may be interested in this developing and ever-changing area of law. I am grateful for the opportunity and plan to make the most of it.”
