Experience
Laquan T. Lightfoot counsels and defends clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, with a focus on the transportation industry. She draws on a background litigating product liability, premises liability, premises security, motor vehicle accident, catastrophic injury, and employment law matters for a range of clients, including one of the nation’s largest Fortune 500 retailers. In addition to her litigation practice, Laquan serves as an arbitrator with the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Compulsory Arbitration Program adjudicating various civil disputes.
Before entering private practice, Laquan served as an assistant district attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where she was assigned to Major Trials of the Southwest Division and vigorously prosecuted numerous criminal cases from inception to disposition in both jury and bench trials. She has also been an assistant city solicitor for Philadelphia’s Law Department, serving as in-house counsel for the Department of Human Services and handling dependency and delinquency cases involving child abuse, neglect, and human trafficking.
