Leo Capoferri counsels and defends manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of consumer products and industrial machinery in product liability matters, including catastrophic personal injury cases. He is skilled in all aspects of pretrial litigation, including fact and expert witness discovery, motion practice, case management, and interlocutory appeals. Leo draws on experience working on a variety of complex civil litigation matters – for both plaintiffs and the defense – involving not only product liability but also medical malpractice, sexual abuse, auto negligence, and consumer fraud.
Before entering private practice, Leo completed a judicial clerkship with the Hon. Amy O’Connor in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, where he analyzed legal issues and drafted memoranda related to civil and criminal appeals. While attending the Seton Hall University School of Law, Leo served as judicial intern at both the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
