Nadia Balkaran

Experience
Nadia Balkaran focuses her practice on counseling and defending manufacturers, distributors and others in toxic tort litigation spanning a variety of alleged exposures as well as defending clients in environmental disputes. She is engaged in all stages of the litigation process from inception through trial and appeal. Nadia gained experience representing insurance companies and their insureds in cases involving commercial vehicle liability, construction liability, and labor and employment matters.
While attending the St. John’s University School of Law, Nadia developed a keen understanding of legal and public policy involving climate and sustainability issues on the local, state and federal level by serving in intern and extern roles with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Environmental Justice team of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, and the League of Conservation Voters.
