GS Attorneys Deliver NYSBA Social Media Masterclass January 28, 2019

A handful of Goldberg Segalla attorneys helped the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) to produce a series of videos discussing core social media platforms. Geared toward other attorneys, these videos cover history and basic uses of the platforms as well as potential ethics issues and tips on how to tap the platforms’ powers to boost your professional network, personal brand, and legal practice.

Anthony M. Kroese, an associate in the Corporate Services and Commercial Litigation practice in Buffalo, covered Facebook.

Adam R. Durst, an associate in the Global Insurance Services practice in Buffalo and New York City, covered LinkedIn.

Claire M. Hankin-Wray, a special counsel in the Corporate Services and Commercial Litigation practice in White Plains, covered YouTube.

Daniel E. Lust, an associate in the General Liability practice in White Plains, covered SnapChat.

NYSBA sought out social media-savvy attorneys for this lawyer-education project, and had to look no further than Goldberg Segalla. These four lawyers, spread out across the firm's seven New York State offices, are deeply involved in efforts to share their knowledge through publications, presentations, and committee memberships with NYSBA, the New State Women's Bar Association, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, and other organizations. Dan and Anthony both serve on the NYSBA Social Media Committee. Claire, who spent undergraduate internships in media, licensing, and legal affairs with MTV in New York City and Sidney, Australia, is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Association and the Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alumni Alliance. Adam frequently discusses social media in contributions to the Goldberg Segalla Data Privacy and Security blog, and serves as social media editor for the firm's Insurance and Reinsurance Report.
