Goldberg Segalla added Edward A. Lavant to the firm’s Retail and Hospitality group in Orlando.

Edward represents regional and national retailers, multi-unit hotel operators, restaurant franchises and fitness center brands in a range of civil and commercial cases, including premises liability, negligent security, personal injury and product liability matters. He is engaged in all stages of litigation from defense strategy through resolution, including managing discovery, developing motions, trial briefs, attending court hearings, and arguing motions to compel arbitration. Edward draws on experience serving as staff counsel for a major American insurance provider where he focused on personal injury protection liability and auto negligence/bodily injury claims, conducting examinations under oath, depositions and mediations, drafting and filing motions, answers and settlement agreements, and preparing detailed reports for claims adjusters.

Edward earned his B.S. from Florida State University and his J.D. from the Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University College of Law.
