Experience
Tamerick Gilyard represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. He is engaged in all stages of the workers’ compensation claims-handling process from inception through resolution, ranging from conducting depositions and preparing motions to appearing at hearings, trials and mediation.
Tamerick draws from hands-on experience gained as a judicial intern in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, supporting the Hon. George B. Daniels, where he drafted and edited judicial decisions related to civil rights litigation, post-conviction litigation and complex securities litigation. He also served as a legal intern in the Massachusetts Superior Court in Boston, drafting and editing dispositive orders, attending pretrial conferences and evidentiary hearings.
