Ashley Han focuses her practice on advising clients on environmental regulatory and compliance matters and defending them in complex environmental and toxic tort litigation. Her practice includes research, drafting, and analysis related to state and federal environmental statutes and regulatory frameworks, including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act, among others. Ashley draws from her experience serving as a sustainability enforcement attorney, where she supported enforcement actions under New York City’s sustainability laws by reviewing records and agreements for compliance determination. She also researched and analyzed issues arising under environmental and sustainability matters, communicated with stakeholders, and assisted with amendments to the energy conservation code.

While earning her J.D., Ashley obtained an Advanced Certificate in Environmental Law and completed internships focused on environmental, energy, and sustainability compliance. As a compliance intern, she assessed compliance risk for a leading renewable energy developer and operator of hydroelectric, solar, and wind assets. She also served as a corporate sustainability intern at a New York City law firm, gaining skills in environmental social governance, shareholder proposals, and SEC corporate reporting.
