Experience
Caitlin R. Masline represents insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout New York. She handles all stages of the workers’ compensation claims process from the initial evaluation of a claim through defense preparation, witness and expert depositions and hearings, preparing petitions and motions, and appearing at hearings, trials, and mediations. Caitlin draws on experience gained while serving as a law clerk on the Workers’ Compensation team at Goldberg Segalla, working with the firm’s clients and experiencing the team’s commitment to helping clients achieve significant and sustainable reductions to the overall expense of their workers’ compensation programs.
While studying at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, Caitlin gained hands-on experience as a summer associate in private practice, supporting attorneys with pre-trial preparation and observing testimony and court proceedings. During an internship with a major international chemical corporation, she reported to the assistant general counsel for transactions and participated in matters related to mergers and acquisitions. Caitlin also served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Jodi Orlow Mackoff of the Queens County Supreme Court, reviewing and editing opinions, judgments and findings of fact and observing court proceedings involving personal injury, guardianship, and medical malpractice matters.
