After learning that both Goldberg Segalla attorneys had been named “Lawyers of the Year” for Insurance Law in their regions by The Best Lawyers in America, David L. Brown and Michael T. Glascott had a discussion about what makes the firm’s national Global Insurance Services practice group successful.

“Our group is geared toward being a business partner with the insurance company directly and helping them in connection with their most important matters, matters that are directly affecting the company,” David Brown explained, prioritizing the firm’s role as an advocate for the insurance industry. “We collaborate with our clients. We want to understand what they’re concerned with. We want to understand what direction their companies are moving in.”

David, who serves as co-chair of the practice group, was recognized as 2024 Lawyer of the Year in Insurance Law in North Carolina’s Triad region. He has been a Best Lawyer in America for Insurance Law every year since 2008, and has received Insurance Law Lawyer of the Year honors three previous times.

Michael was named 2024 Lawyer of the Year for Insurance Law in Buffalo, N.Y. He has regularly been named a Best Lawyer in America for Insurance Law, Insurance Litigation, and Construction Law, and was the 2022 Insurance Litigation Lawyer of the Year.
