Christopher P. Maugans Receives UB Service to the School Achievement Award
The University at Buffalo recently honored Christopher P. Maugans with the Service to the School Achievement Award at the 69th Annual School of Management Alumni Association Awards Banquet at the Statler in Buffalo. The award is given annually in recognition of regional alumni business leaders for their continued service to the School of Management as well as for the impact they’ve demonstrated on their communities and industries.
Chris is an associate in the firm’s Employment and Labor, Corporate Services and Civil Litigation, Higher Education, and Cannabis Law Practice Groups. Practicing out of Buffalo, he handles a range of complex commercial litigation and matters involving employment and labor law for both public and private sector clients. Chris concurrently earned his M.B.A. and J.D. from the University at Buffalo, where he held several prestigious fellowships and scholarships, and finished in the top 10 percent of his M.B.A. class. While a student, he completed the University at Buffalo School of Management LeaderCORE™ certification program, and cofounded the Buffalo MBA Consulting Group (BMC), Western New York’s first pro bono consulting firm run by M.B.A. students. There, he provided management consultation services to a range of non- and for-profit businesses.
