Goldberg Segalla added Christopher J. Major to the firm’s Worker’s Compensation group in Newark.
Christopher is an experienced workers’ compensation attorney who counsels and defends employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout New Jersey and New York. He has been successful litigating claims from date of referral through closure, furnishing detailed legal action plans at case inception, managing court proceedings, deposing treating physicians and IME doctors on issues of causal relationship, medical necessity and permanency, and negotiating settlements and stipulations. Christopher has prosecuted reimbursement actions on behalf of workers’ compensation carriers in New Jersey Superior Courts and New York Supreme Courts in a wide variety of matters including personal injury matters involving premises liability, products liability, New York Labor Law “Scaffold” claims, and general negligence; motor vehicle accident cases under New Jersey’s “Verbal Threshold” and New York’s “No-Fault” Law; actions against claimants after N.Y. WCL Section 114-a fraud findings; and motions/orders to show cause to enforce settlement agreements and litigants’ rights.
Christopher earned his B.S. from The College of New Jersey and his J.D. from the Seton Hall University School of Law.
