Goldberg Segalla Announces 2011 Promotions
Goldberg Segalla has announced promotions of four lawyers at the firm. Jonathan M. Bernstein was promoted to partner. Soo-young Chang, Christopher M. Hart, and Paul D. McCormick have been elevated to Special Counsel.
Jonathan Bernstein concentrates his practice is general litigation, appellate advocacy and defending civil rights and employment discrimination suits. He is the editor of Goldberg Segalla’s Government Liability and Civil Rights newsletter and also publishes a monthly column in the Albany County Bar Journal entitled Civil Rights Update. Jonathan Bernstein is based in Albany, New York.
Soo-young Chang practices in the areas of products liability and general litigation. He has defended personal injury suits involving motor vehicle, construction-site, school-site and municipal site accidents, and medical malpractice and insurance coverage suits. He is based in the firm’s Buffalo, New York office.
Christopher Hart has defended a wide variety of civil litigation claims and has experience litigating civil rights actions, claims against commercial land owners based on premises liability, suits brought under New York’s Labor Law, “dram shop” claims and motor vehicle actions. Mr. Hart has defended municipalities in cases arising out of a variety of governmental liability claims. He is based in the firm’s Long Island, New York office.
Paul McCormick a litigator and trial lawyer with considerable experience defending corporations and insurance companies in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, New York worksite injuries and complex toxic tort liability. He is a frequent writer and panelist for continuing legal education seminars on such topics as no-fault insurance coverage, UM/UIM/SUM insurance coverage, trial tactics and premises liability. McCormick is resident in the firm’s Buffalo, New York office.
