Goldberg Segalla added Alexander J. Speir to the firm’s Global Insurance Services practice group in Greensboro.
Alex devotes his practice to counseling and defending insurers in coverage arising under a variety of policy types, conducting thorough legal research to assess coverage issues, and collaborating on strategic case development. Alex has a strong litigation background, having served as an assistant district attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York. In that role, he regularly appeared in court, managed a large caseload, and advocated for survivors to ensure their voices were heard throughout the legal process. Before that, Alex served as a law clerk in the Domestic Violence Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois.
Alex earned his B.A. from Samford University and his J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law.
