Brandy J. Gray

Goldberg Segalla added Brandy J. Gray to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice group in Baltimore.

Brandy is a highly accomplished advisor and trial attorney who guides employers, insurers, and third‑party administrators through every stage of a workers’ compensation claim – from early legal analysis and strategic planning to litigation and resolution – regularly handling disputes involving temporary and permanent disability benefits, evaluating potentially fraudulent claims, and negotiating settlements when appropriate. Before entering private practice, Brandy spent 16 years as an assistant attorney general, counseling and litigating on behalf of state agencies such as the Maryland Department of Health, the Maryland Insurance Administration, and the Maryland Uninsured Employers’ Fund. In those roles, she handled cases in both state and federal courts across a wide spectrum of issues, including employment and civil rights disputes, personal injury and wrongful death claims, and insurance matters. Her combination of regulatory and trial experience positions Brandy to defend insurance carriers facing administrative investigations, including market conduct examinations and targeted examinations.

Brandy earned her B.A. from the University of Kentucky and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
