Goldberg Segalla added Brian T. Ruiz to the firm’s Worker’s Compensation group in Newark.

Brian focuses his practice on workers’ compensation matters, counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators throughout New Jersey. He handles cases ranging from occupational exposure through complex total/permanent disability claims, and is experienced with pension calculations, Social Security offsets, Medicare/Medicaid interests, the Second Injury Fund, and the Uninsured Employer’s Fund.

Clients benefit from Brian’s unique, in-depth experience with workers’ compensation law. He spent more than 15 years as a paralegal supporting the president of a law firm in the workers’ compensation practice, exclusively representing and defending employers. Encouraged by the attorneys at the firm, he earned both his B.A. and his J.D. as a part-time student while working full time at the firm.

Brian earned his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from the New York Law School.
