Goldberg Segalla added Christian K. Kotila to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice group in Chicago.

Christian focuses his practice on workers’ compensation defense, representing insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators in all stages of a claim, from initial file review through resolution. He works closely with clients to develop effective litigation strategies and defense plans designed to efficiently manage claims, control costs, and support long-term risk management objectives. Christian has significant experience handling workers’ compensation matters before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. He has served as both first-chair and second-chair counsel in arbitration hearings and regularly manages discovery, conducts depositions, prepares cases for trial, and negotiates settlements. He collaborates with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and expert witnesses to develop practical solutions and achieve favorable outcomes in complex workers’ compensation matters.

Christian earned a B.I.R. from the Michigan State University James Madison College and his J.D. from the Wayne State University Law School.
