Goldberg Segalla added Emma Tavmasyan to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation group in Los Angeles.
Emma dedicates her practice to counseling and defending employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in complex workers’ compensation matters throughout California. She has extensive experience managing all phases of litigation, ranging from evaluating claims and developing case strategy to analyzing medical records, deposing claimants and physicians, preparing motions and petitions, and handling hearings and trials. Before focusing on workers’ compensation matters, Emma gained experience while practicing immigration law.
While attending Southwestern Law School, Emma worked as a law clerk at a law firm specializing in immigration legal services. She also clerked for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office in the Consumer Protection Division, where she researched legal issues, analyzed evidence, drafted briefs and motions, and observed courtroom proceedings.
Emma earned her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her J.D. from the Southwestern Law School.
