Goldberg Segalla added John K. Hamberger to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation group in Garden City.

John dedicates his practice to defending employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in complex workers’ compensation matters. He draws on more than 25 years of litigation experience before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board. John handles all aspects of claims on behalf of his clients, including evaluating the compensability of new claims, preparing case analysis, attending hearings, preparing witnesses for testimony, conducting medical depositions, preparing and filing necessary appeals and rebuttals, evaluating claims for future exposure and settlement by Section 32 or stipulation, and assisting with calculating potential reserves. His experience also extends to Social Security disability and personal injury matters.

John earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his J.D. from the Hofstra University School of Law.
