Goldberg Segalla Welcomes Margaret R. O’Neill

Goldberg Segalla added associate Margaret R. O’Neill to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group in Garden City. Maggie focuses her practice on defending New York-based insurers, employers, and third-party administrators in all types of workers’ compensation litigation.

Before entering private practice, Maggie worked as a certified student attorney in the Montgomery County State Attorney’s Office, and gained experience as a legal intern for the Hon. Roger W. Titus in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and for the New York County District Attorney’s Office. She also worked as a certified student attorney in the Columbus Community Legal Services Families and the Law Clinic in Washington, D.C.

A graduate of Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, a minor in Politics, and a concentration in International Politics, Maggie gained valuable experience interning throughout her undergraduate career. This included working in the Irish Parliament in Dublin as an intern for Dr. Leo Varadkar, then Minister of Transport, Tourism, and Sport, now the Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister). Maggie continued this work during law school, interning with the European Division of the Department of Justice Criminal Division’s Office of International Affairs, where she analyzed prisoner extradition and mutual legal assistance treaties packages.

Maggie earned her J.D. at Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. She was a recipient of the Law School Alumni Association Award and served as executive of numerous student life and governance groups. She was also a research assistant to Professor Clifford Fishman.
