Goldberg Segalla added Maxwell C. LaFrance to the firm’s Civil Litigation and Trial group in Hartford.

Maxwell concentrates his practice on counseling and defending clients in a variety of civil claims and disputes. He is involved in matters from inception through discovery, mediation/arbitration, motion practice, and trial. Maxwell draws on his experience involving contract disputes, fair housing issues, condominium association governance and other real estate issues while in private practice. He also served as an appeals referee for the Connecticut Department of Labor, hearing first-level appeals from decisions by the unemployment benefits administrator. Maxwell is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where his duties included serving as a first lieutenant and leading of a division of 35 sailors.

Maxwell earned his B.S. from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
