Goldberg Segalla Welcomes Paula Stefanou

Goldberg Segalla added associate Paula Stefanou to the law firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group in Newark. She draws on previous experience serving as in-house counsel to one of the industry’s largest carriers representing insured respondents.

Paula’s background includes handling claims related to traumatic injuries, occupational exposure, re-openers, slip and fall incidents, motor vehicle accidents, Social Security Disability Insurance, and employee/independent contractor disputes. She also has experience working on employment and labor matters with respect to wage and hour disputes, New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Paula also has experience representing clients in catastrophic loss claims arising out of general liability, premises liability, product liability, the oil and gas industry, and commercial auto exposures, including wrongful death tractor-trailer cases, as well as in primary and excess bodily injury and property damage claims arising out of environmental matters, toxic tort, coal mining, construction, and product liability litigation.

Paula is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law, where she served as a teaching associate in the Legal Research and Writing Program and a contracts tutor in the Minority Student Program. Following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mathias E. Rodriguez in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, in Middlesex County.
