Goldberg Segalla added Raymond P. Weiss Jr. to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation group in Albany.
Ray counsels and defends employers, insurers, and third-party administrators throughout New York, handling all phases of the claims process ranging from conducting depositions and preparing motions to reviewing medical records and negotiating settlement agreements. Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Ray provided legal representation to claimants in workers’ compensation cases, representing clients at administrative hearings, at trial, and on appeal. His experience also includes serving as an employee relations associate with the New York State Office of Employee Relations, where he participated in contract negotiations and benefits administration, presenting information during negotiations, mediations and arbitrations for New York State’s collective bargaining agreements.
Ray earned a B.A., an M.A. and an M.S. from SUNY University at Albany and earned his J.D. from the Albany Law School of Union University.
