Goldberg Segalla added Taylor L. Distefano to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation group in Raleigh.

An experienced workers’ compensation attorney, Taylor represents employers, insurers, and third-party administrators at mediated settlement conferences as well as hearings before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. She handles all aspects of the claims process from inception through resolution including evaluating claims for exposure and developing a plan of action for file closure. Taylor takes depositions of both lay and expert witnesses, drafts a variety of motions, responses and pre-trial agreements, and negotiates settlements. While attending the Elon University School of Law, Taylor gained experience serving as a student attorney in the school’s Small Business and Entrepreneurship Clinic and also interned at a regional law firm.

Taylor earned her B.A. from West Virginia University and her J.D. from the Elon University School of Law.
