Goldberg Segalla Wins Fortune Best Workplaces in New York Ranking for 2018
Goldberg Segalla has been recognized as one of the Best Workplaces in New York for 2018, in the latest ranking from Great Place to Work and Fortune. Goldberg Segalla placed 16th among small and medium-sized businesses in the state, the highest-ranked law firm on the list.
The ranking considered more than 33,000 employee surveys from companies across New York State and the New York metropolitan/tri-state area. Great Place to Work evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job, including the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.
“New York’s diversity of people and industry are beacon for those seeking opportunities around the country and the world,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Organizations like Goldberg Segalla stand out from the crowd, intentionally growing their businesses by creating great places to work for all.”
Goldberg Segalla — a firm of over 370 attorneys with 21 offices in 10 states — has seven offices in New York. It was founded in 2001 in Buffalo, NY, which remains the firm’s headquarters.
In addition to the Fortune ranking, Goldberg Segalla has received numerous accolades highlighting its founding principles of teamwork, diversity, and inclusion. It has been ranked for seven consecutive years among the Best Companies to Work For in New York State. It has twice been named the Best Place to Work among all large employers in Western New York, where the firm is headquartered, and has ranked among the top five large employers in Illinois, the top 10 in both Pennsylvania and Maryland, the top 15 in New Jersey, and the top 20 in Florida.
